Zell Dincht
	Age: 17 Sex: Male Class: Fighter Weapon: Gloves Height: 5'5" Birthdate: March 17th An aspiring Martial Arts fighter, he wants to follow in his grandfather's footsteps. He joined Balamb when he was 13, and has a short temper.

Quistis Trepe
	Age: 18 Sex: Female Class: Director Weapon: Chain whip Height: 5'6" Birthdate: October 4th Even though she has a groupie following, and is well known and liked at Balamb, Quistis is lonely. She considers Squall as one of her more "gifted" students.

Selphie Tilmitt
	Age: 17 Sex: Female Class: SeeD student Weapon: Nunchaku Height: 5'1 1/2" Birthdate: July 16th A transfer student from Trabia garden, Selphie's a kind and gentle person, up until the point where she gets onto the battlefield, where she wields her nunchaku with unrivalled skill.

Irvine Kinneas
	Age: 17 Sex: Male Class: Sniper Weapon: Gun Height: 6' Birthdate: November 24th A lone sniper, joining the Balamb SeeDs for a critical mission. Underneath the cool, frivolous outer look, he actually is a sensitive and serious person, yet he still is a ladies man.

Seifer Almasy
	Age: 18 Sex: Male Class: "Sorceress' Knight" Weapon: Gunblade Height: 6'1" Birthdate: December 22nd Though his skills make him a powerful warrior, his lack of authority and incredibly high ego feed his irresponsibility, eventually losing his right to join SeeD. He considers Squall his rival and continually "shows off" in order to ease the pain of his own failure.

Edea
	Age: unknown Sex: Female Class: Sorceress Weapon: Blizzard palm Height: 5'5" Birthdate: Unknown A mysterious sorceress obsessed with power. Her lure of control has strongly grasped the Galbadian Army, shifting an enormous amount of power in their favour. With the army at her command and a government conspiracy surrounding her name, the world is gripped in confusion and terror.

Cid Kramer
	Age: 40 Sex: Male Class: Headmaster Weapon: none Height: Birthdate: unknown The headmaster of Balamb Garden seems aged beyond his years. He appears to be burdened by some worry that keeps him somewhat removed from the day to day running of the academy. Still, he is able to help Squall and his friends more than once.

Laguna Loire
	Age: 27 Sex: Male Class: Galbadian soldier Weapon: Machine gun Height: 5'9" Birthdate: January 3rd Once a proud Galbadian soldier, Laguna later becomes a successful and determined journalist. His good heart and genuine ambition fall prey to a much bigger concern in his life... Where is Ellone?

Kiros Seagul
	Age: 24 Sex: Male Class: Galbadian soldier Weapon: Katals Height: 6'4" Birthdate: July 6th A close friend to Laguna and devoted comrade, serving alongside him in the Galbadia Army. Though more refined than Ward, Kiros' faith and trust is an equal component of their overall companionship.

Ward Zaback
	Age: 25 Sex: Male Class: Galbadian soldier Weapon: Harpoon Height: 7' Birthdate: February 25th Sporting a scar as a result of an old war injury and looking rough and tough on the exterior, Ward has a kind heart and follows closely with his friends and comrades, Laguna and Kiros.
